One day, I was just waiting for something in a waiting room sitting on a bench and suddenly my eyes caught a man of age about 23(5-6 years older than me) sitting on a bench next to me. He was actually looking pretty nervous, joining his hands, heading up to the roof ( in a traditional way of praying in India). I guessed he was expecting his exam results that evening.
I went towards him and sat next to him on the same bench and after 7 minutes of unnecessary silence, I could not stop myself asking a question.
'Do you believe in God?' I asked.
He reacted as suddenly an obvious and unnecessary question came to him. I could see that irritation on his face.
'Yes, I do.' He reluctantly replied.
'Have you ever seen him?' I asked.
Another same kind of question increased irritation on his face.
'No' He replied.
'Do you believe that you will be able to see him in future?' I asked.
His face suddenly dropped to neutral.
He said, "Frankly speaking, No I do not."
"Why?" I asked.
"Because no one, in the world ever could prove to see him. Just no one, neither my father, nor my grandfather, nor his father...." He replied.
"Your answer seems quite rational and logical to me." I said.
After a small pause, I said "Do you know what? I can see him. He is just right behind you."
He confidently pointed at me and said, "look, I believe in existence of god but I don't believe you that he is behind me."
"Then, where is he?" I asked.
He said, "He can be anywhere, anywhere in the world, anywhere in the universe."
I said, "Anywhere, but not behind you...... Why? Actually he is behind you, gazing at you, staring at you like a proud father."
He said in some loud voice, "oh... ya... I don't believe you."
I asked in some more loud voice, "But why... why not, Mr. Why don't you believe me?"
Boiled with zeal, He replied, "Because, I cannot see him."
I said, " But you yourself, acknowledged that you will never be able to see him."
Then, I said with a smile on my face, "Lets start again Mr., Do you believe in God?..........................."
Actually, the fact is that whatever happens, whatever he says, man will never stop having a blind belief on his senses.
